BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT piece, Kevin — instant subscribe. I’ve been thinking a lot about these themes lately, and you’ve laid them all out seamlessly — with a great story to boot. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Sam. I appreciate you reading it and subscribing to my work. I’m glad there are others out there who are thinking about these things, too. : )
I feel like your article sits alongside this one - the same message through a different lense? They are both profoundly meaningful to me at this time of challenge, change and discovery.
Thanks, Holly! I’m so glad. I’m a sucker for a good story that leads to unexpected places. Thank you for reading it and taking the time to let me know it inspired you. I appreciate you.
I love that gasoline story! I couldn't agree more with the message. However, I have to say I'm finding the "waiting for instructions" part of this really difficult.
I love this analogy and how you’ve looked (and found) the wisdom in the shifting world. I agree there needs to be an end to the divisiveness, generally fueled by others, those of the old humanity. And I, too, struggle sometimes with how… how exactly… to see beyond targeted hate and respond in a forgiving way, a way that is essential in order to progress. Alas, I am only human. Albeit, also a realistic optimist. Still looking for that durable cup.
This hits in a big way. The old systems are crumbling, and people are scrambling to either patch them up or desperately cling to what’s familiar, even when it’s obviously broken. They've been doing it for decades, so why stop now? But you’re right! WE are what happens next. The shift is already here. Some of us are just more willing to acknowledge it.
I see this in my own work all the time. People unlearning conditioning, breaking cycles, and reclaiming their power. The hardest part is realizing the container you were given to hold these new truths is too small, too fragile, too rigid to keep up. You either outgrow the old framework or shatter it. There's no in-between.
Love the way you framed this. And I’m with you—stainless steel cups all the way. lol
Kevin, do you think there is a coherent process or that it just happens beyond our knowing by loving our neighbors? It seems to me we need to make some radical changes and not just wait passively.
Love is action, never passive. That’s what I mean when I say we’re love wrapped in skin and bone. It’s 100% incarnational or it’s worthless.
You’re right, we do need radical changes, but transformation is an inside job first because the external world reflects our inner one. Changing laws without changing the consciousness/heart that created them leads us in circles. We have to change our hearts AND create from that new perspective, which means we must change how we live, treat our neighbors, and even those we may never meet.
In that sense, love is fierce sometimes, passionate and appropriately aggressive. We even have to learn to embody all aspects of love and not just limit it to nice thoughts and intentions.
You continue to amaze me. Never stop sharing your wisdom with the world.

Lovely. Thank you. So many good points. So many places the love can get in so we can continue. ❤️
